SURVIVAL
In order to ‘survive’ the year ahead it is important that we all get to know one another.  Your family and friends have helped you to get to where you are now and now it is your turn to take on the challenge of SURVIVAL!
Your survival profile needs to include:
  • Your given names, nicknames, your preferred name and why these were given to you e.g. Bear Grylls’ real name is Edward Grylls
  • A photograph of yourself
  • While you are out in the wild on assignment, who are you leaving at home?
  • If your family was stranded on a desert island, how would your family react? e.g. My sister would freak out etc.
  • What survival skills do you bring to our classroom? e.g. Hobbies and Interests - My love of books will help you in any dangerous library situation; when you don’t know what to read I am your ‘go to’ guy.
  • Where have your assignments taken place? e.g. Where have you lived? Where have you been on holiday? What was your favourite holiday destination?
  • What wild animals have you encountered? Have you managed to tame any? e.g. What pets do you have?
  • What are your personality traits that would make you able to survive in the wild e.g. I am calm in emergency situations etc.
  • What training do you participate in to get ‘survival ready’? e.g. Sports etc.
  • Find one quote that sums up you and your outlook on life.

You will be given:
  • A piece of cartridge paper - if you want it!
Your assignment can be presented in almost any way that you choose.  It could be a poster, a quilt, a mobile, a booklet, a pamphlet, a box… your only limits are your imagination and that it needs to be a static display for the classroom.

Success Criteria:

  1. Must be at least be double paged in size (depending on the format of course!)
  2. Each section will need its own heading.
  3. Written work needs to be proofread and corrected.
  4. Presentation needs to be attractive e.g. illustrations included within each section, typed or tidily hand written etc.
  5. Ensure that your presentation is colourful.
  6. The completed assignment can be hung in the classroom or on a wall e.g. Think about if it is going to be hung on a wall, can you write on the back?
  7. DUE  DATE:  Thursday 19th February
