Physics and light

On the 5th of May the amazing Room 19 learnt physics together for the first time this year!
We did some experiments with laser lights and a coin and most of them involved something as simple as water. One of the experiments was called “ disappearing spot” which involved a 20 cent coin and some water. We put a coin in the cup and stood so we could only see the rim of the cup. We then put water in the cup and while still standing in the same spot we could see the coin. This is because of light and seen as the light could refract and bend with the water it made us be able to see the coin. This experiment was the one that worked the best but the whole point of experiments is to see whether they work or not, right?
